Who We Are
Wasafiri Community Outreach, Inc. (WCO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, faith-based organization rooted in the Baltimore metro area. Founded in 2003, our community is made up of over 150 active families who are united in faith, cultural pride, and a spirit of service.
We are guided by Catholic values and deeply committed to the holistic development of our members—especially children and youth. Through worship, education, community outreach, and cultural expression, we seek to build a stronger, more united, and empowered community.
Our Structure
We are organized into ministries and Jumuiyas (Small Christian Communities) spread across Baltimore and surrounding counties. Each Jumuiya serves as a local hub for worship, fellowship, and outreach in its area.
Our Vision for the Future
We are actively fundraising to establish a Wasafiri Center—a permanent home for worship, education, cultural events, and community service.

We focus on:

✅ Mutual Support – Providing emotional, spiritual, and financial assistance to members facing challenges such as food insecurity, unemployment, or housing needs.
✅ Cultural Outreach – Celebrating our rich traditions through music, dance, and global partnerships that promote cross-cultural understanding and service.
