Youth

Growing in Faith • Building Community • Raising Tomorrow’s Leaders

The Wasafiri Youth Ministry is a welcoming space where our children, teens, and young adults can grow in their Catholic faith, build lasting friendships, embrace their cultural heritage, and discover meaningful ways to serve God and the community.

Under the coordination of Rachel Waweru, the ministry works alongside our young adults to create opportunities that keep our youth connected, engaged, and actively involved in the life of Wasafiri. The Youth Liturgical Team, led by Keylar, Ashley, and other young adults, encourages our youth to take active roles in worship and service.

Key activities that allow young people to participate directly in our liturgical celebrations include:

• Sunday School during the Swahili Mass,
• Bible study and spiritual retreats,
• Altar-serving
• Outreach activities

At Wasafiri, we believe our youth are not simply the future of our community—they are an important part of our community today. By giving them opportunities to learn, worship, serve, and lead, we help nurture a generation grounded in faith, service, culture, and community.
